UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” is engaged in the following businesses part of electricity sector:

  • Power distribution activities (licence No. L1-11(ES) of 15/02/2011);
  • Public power supply activities (licence No. L1-9(VET) of 15/02/2011);
  • Independent power supply activities (authorisation No. L1-96(NET) of 20/02/2015).

At present, the company does not provide any services related to guaranteed power supply because all customers within its service territory purchase any power supply services from a public/independent power supplier.

Power distribution:
The power distribution grid of UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” is connected to the power transmission grid via 110/10 kV transformers. Customers’ electrical equipment is connected to the company’s power distribution grid. The company renders power transmission service to these customers.                                        The price of power transmission service consists of the following components:

1.  The cost of power transmission service provided by Litgrid AB;

2. The cost of system services provided by Litgrid AB;

3. The cost of public service obligations (PSOs);

4.  The cost of power transmission service via a medium-voltage grid by UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas”;

5. The cost of power transmission service via a low-voltage grid by UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas”.

The price cap of the service pertinent to power transmission via a medium-voltage grid provided by UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” is 3.231 c/kWh for 2016.

The price cap of the service pertinent to power transmission via a low-voltage grid provided by UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” is 4.131 c/kWh for 2016.

 The prices of services pertinent to power distribution via a medium and a low-voltage grids include all operational costs of UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” necessary for ensuring appropriate functioning of a power distribution grid (cost percentages for 2015: EUR 156.349 thousand or 31.73% of technological and own-need costs; EUR 190.773 thousand or 38.72% of staff wages (no salaries for any members of the board or any payments in connection with the functions of management bodies were calculated/made in 2015); EUR 59.019 thousand or 11.98% of social insurance costs; EUR 6.445 thousand or 1.31% of property rent; EUR 7.633 thousand or 1.55% of asset depreciation and amortisation; EUR 71.587 thousand or 14.53% of miscellaneous other costs, material and equivalent costs; EUR 0.899 thousand or 0.18% of taxes.

It is planned that during the period of price cap regulation 2015–2019 technological and own-need costs will account for EUR 242.09 thousand or 44.04%*, staff wages, for EUR 179.564 thousand or 32.67%, social insurance costs, for EUR 55.630 thousand or 10.12%; property rent, for EUR 6.395 thousand or 1.16%; asset depreciation and amortisation, for EUR 7.241 thousand or 1.32%; miscellaneous other costs, material and equivalent costs, for EUR 58.358 thousand or 10.62%; and taxes, for EUR 0.434 thousand or 0.08%.

* – power purchase costs

In 2015, the company distributed 30,582 MWh of power in the power distribution grid and transmitted 13,131 MWh of electricity to its customers. It is planned to distribute around 33,079 MWh of power in the power distribution grid and transmit around 13,042 MWh of electricity to its customers in 2016.

The company’s power distribution grid is operated on the basis of on-going analysis of parameters, technological cost reduction solutions and timely maintenance and repairs of the plant. The power distribution grid operated in an appropriate manner and other circumstances enable some of the lowest service tariffs for electricity transmission to be applicable to customers. The company is not planning any development of/investment in the power distribution grid in the near future.

In addition to the power transmission service, UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” provides the following services to customers in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation: connecting electricity equipment of new customers to the power distribution grid, change of permitted power, and change of the category of the power supply security.   Public power supply:

One domestic customer’s electrical equipment is connected to the company’s power distribution grid. A public power supply service is rendered in respect of this customer. Operating costs in connection with public power supply incurred by UAB “Dirbtinis pluoštas” in 2015 comprised the following: power acquisition costs - EUR 0.821 thousand or 86.11%, acquisition costs in connection with power for own needs – EUR 0.044 thousand or 4.67%, staff wages – EUR 0.051 thousand or 5.33%, social insurance costs – EUR 0.016 thousand or 1.65%, property rent – EUR 0.002 thousand or 0.19%, asset depreciation and amortisation – EUR 0.001 thousand or 0.15%, miscellaneous other costs – EUR 0.018 thousand or 1.90%, and taxes – EUR 0.000 thousand or 0.00%.

It is planned that during the period of price cap regulation 2015–2019 power acquisition costs will account for EUR 0.796 thousand or 79.83%, acquisition costs in connection with power for own needs, for EUR 0.076 thousand or 7.59%, staff wages, for EUR 0.068 thousand or 6.79%, social insurance costs, for EUR 0.021 thousand or 2.11%, property rent, for EUR 0.002 thousand or 0.22%, asset depreciation and amortisation, for EUR 0.005 thousand or 0.46%, miscellaneous other costs, for EUR 0.029 thousand or 2.88%, and taxes, for EUR 0.001 thousand or 0.11%.

Independent power supply:

As part of its business of independent power supply, the company purchases power on the open market for its own needs or the needs of the customers it serves.
 
In 2016, the company is planning to sell around 12,000 MWh of electricity to its customers.
 
Electricity prices are set individually in terms of every customer given the cost of electricity acquired on the market, the quantities of power consumed, consumptions modes as well as payment terms and conditions.
 
Domestic and other power customers can obtain the most up-to-date information on all applicable tariffs and charges for the electricity supplied over a calendar year, the comparison with the respective period last year and the average power consumption in the same customer category by contacting the company’s representatives at the above contacts.
